ABOUT STA PACK 43
Pack 43 of the Boy Scouts of America was established by the St. Thomas Aquinas Dad's Club in 1942, and has continually served the young men of our parish since then. Presently, the Pack is sponsored by the St. Thomas Aquinas Holy Name Society here
ABOUT CUB SCOUTS
In Cub Scouts each grade has its own rank within its own Den, which are assigned to volunteer STA parent leaders. Throughout the course of the school year, the Den Leaders coordinate and schedule Den meetings to help the scouts complete a set of adventures to earn their way to the next rank. There will also be Pack-wide events at various times, including a Fall hike, Casa Linda Christmas Tree Lighting, Pinewood Derby, St. Vincent De Paul Food Drive, two different campouts (Fall & Spring) and an end-of-year Blue & Gold Banquet.
ENROLLMENT
To officially enroll in Cub Scouts, you will need to complete the following:
- Fill out the attached BSA Youth application & submit to info@STAscouts.org (select & fill in - Cub Scout Pack ; Unit No. 43)
- One or preferably both parents must complete the Youth Protection Training and email the certificate to us at info@STAscouts.org. (see section notes below)
- Remit payment for annual dues and registration fees. Contact info@STAscouts.org for payment options.
YOUTH PROTECTION TRAINING
For anyone that will be active with your cub scout, please complete the Youth Protection Training and email the certificate to us at info@STAscouts.org. It will be valid for two years. We will submit both the YPT certificates and applications to BSA for our pack. (Please note: The STA Safe Environment Clearance is also required.)
